How to get ICV Certification in Qatar

icv certification in qatar

To get an In-Country Value (ICV) certificate in Qatar, register on the In-Country Value Digital Portal and hire a Tawteen-approved certifier to audit and validate your ICV Scorecard and supporting documents

The certification process typically involves these steps:

  1. Register on the Portal: Create an account on the In-Country Value Digital Portal to access the system and download the required templates. [1, 2]

  2. Gather Required Documents: Compile your documents, which include your valid Commercial Registration (CR), latest 12-month Audited Financial Statements (not older than two calendar years), payroll records, local supplier invoices, and investment proofs. [1]

  3. Engage an Approved Certifier: Select a pre-approved auditor from the Tawteen ICV Certifiers list. (Self-certification is not allowed). [1, 2, 3]

  4. Fill the ICV Scorecard: Input your company's data into the ICV Scorecard and submit it to your chosen certifier alongside your supporting documents. [1, 2]

  5. Validation and Audit: The auditor will verify your data to confirm accuracy.

  6. Certificate Issuance: Once the audit is successfully completed, both you and the certifier will sign the Scorecard and accompany Factual Finding Report (FFR), after which your official certificate is issued. [1, 2]

The final score calculates your Qatari economic contribution based on workforce (Qatarization), local supplier procurement, and investments. The official certificate remains valid for 12 months. New suppliers operating for less than two years in Qatar may qualify for an exemption or use projected management accounts. [1, 2, 3, 4]
